An Inntravel discovery journey combines walking and exploring with scenic journeys between hotels. You stay at least two nights in each of three or more hotels chosen for their fantastic location, and travel between them by rail and/or boat or car. These journeys form an integral part of the holiday experience, revealing huge contrasts in scenery and rewarding you with awe-inspiring views. On our discovery journey in Switzerland, memorable rail journeys are complemented by equally unforgettable walks. In Greece, you can discover the beautiful landscapes and ancient sites of the Peloponnese. In Italy, combine glorious walking with discovery of Sicily’s Baroque gems. Or, in Croatia, marvel at the many hues of blue and green in the landscape as you explore the Dalmatian Coast and its myriad islands.
The splendid situation of each hotel means that they make excellent walking bases, and we provide maps and detailed route notes (often catering for different ability levels) so that you can explore on foot. However, the choice is yours as to whether or not you wish to walk – you may prefer to visit local places of interest or simply sit back and admire your surroundings.
