While Inntravel does not usually focus on escorted walking holidays, there are some corners of the world, namely Morocco and India, which offer first-rate walking but which we feel, due to the nature of the terrain or the poor quality of the mapping and waymarking, are best explored with a local guide. However, because we want you to enjoy a similar experience to that of any other Inntravel walking holiday, rather than offering group departures, we provide each party with your own guide who will meet you at your base each morning. These privately guided walking holidays give you the best of both worlds – the ability to set the pace while also drawing on the knowledge and route-finding skills of a local expert. As there is no need to accommodate groups on these escorted walking holidays, you can still stay in the type of small, intimate hotels and guesthouses which help to make Inntravel holidays so special.

We use local guides in all cases. Theirs is a discreet form of guiding, letting you appreciate the landscapes for yourselves as they lead the way, but they are always on hand to answer any questions and to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
