Following in the footsteps of heroes, warriors and artists, you explore the historic streets of one of Italy’s most magnificent northern cities. Discover imposing Roman ruins alongside medieval buildings and chic, modern cafés. Because of the value and importance of its many historical buildings, Verona has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a day enjoying panoramic views over the lake, we returned to the hotel and watched the sun set over the horizon.
     
The second half of your stay begins with a transfer by taxi into the heart of the Italian lakes region for a complete contrast. These magnificent lakes are possibly some of the most spectacular in Europe because of their stunning location amid dramatic mountains, and the colourful and idyllic villages and small towns that line their shores. The walking here is magnificent, too, whether you choose to wander along the shores of Lake Garda or to venture up into the mountains for a different perspective of the lake.
