Travelling to India
Please read the important information about passport, visa and health requirements for travel to India.
  • journey via Delhi to Saryu Valley
  • Himalayan villages and magnificent wildlife
  • privately guided walks between Supi and Jhuni
  • optional night at a ridge-top tented camp
  • game drives in the Corbett National Park
  • luggage transported throughout your stay

From the kaleidoscopic chaos of Delhi, this holiday takes you into the foothills of the Himalaya for an exploration of the serenely beautiful Sayru Valley, where you experience timeless ways of life and are welcomed by a charming people whose hospitality you will never forget. Walking from village to village, you become immersed in the lives, traditions and culture of your hosts as you admire the backdrop of waterfalls, glaciers and snow-covered peaks which define your route.

At Khal Jhuni, the last Indian village before Tibet, we looked down on Himalayan griffon wheeling against the mountainsides and ate our packed lunch of spicy potatoes, pickle and chapatis.

For added adventure, you can even add an overnight stay in a tented camp at an altitude of 3,000 metres (this is optional, but highly recommended) before being transferred to the famous Corbett National Park and Tiger Sanctuary for a memorable two-night stay. Corbett is the oldest of India’s national parks, having been founded in 1936, and offers visitors the opportunity to spot an impressive array of wildlife, including – if you are very lucky – that most elusive of all big cats, the tiger.
