Why not take the train?
You can leave London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet in the morning and be at your destination by the evening, making it an excellent (not to mention environmentally friendly) way to reach this holiday. You can relax right from the start of your journey as Eurostar services whisk you through the Channel Tunnel to connect with the world-famous French high-speed TGV trains in either Paris or Lille. We reserve seats for you, there is plenty of luggage space, and refreshments are available on board.
You may even break your journey in Paris if you are travelling via the capital. Sit back and enjoy a truly great rail journey! Look for the ‘by rail’ prices in the Prices & Travel section, where you will also find journey details.
Stay a 3rd or 4th night FREE on selected dates up to 30 August 2012
enjoy the unique allure of Paris
charming hotel located on the Left Bank
travel by rail from London
Paris's unique allure is guaranteed to draw you back time and time again, regardless of how well you know the city. Ever-changing exhibitions and the sheer number of monuments, galleries, museums, shops and markets, impossible to cover in one weekend, mean that you are sure to make a new discovery on every visit. Alternatively, revisit the main attractions to see them in different lights and seasons.
For me, the location of the St Paul, along with the friendliness of the staff, is its greatest feature – we found it easy to get to and great for exploring from.
Susan Avison, Accounts Team
We recommend, however, that you do not overdo the sightseeing – an afternoon spent watching the world go by from a pavement café, soaking up the incomparable atmosphere, can be just as enjoyable. For dinner, the choice is of course endless, from the top gastronomy of Michelin-starred restaurants to informal meals in convivial bistros.
