In Western Sicily peace and quiet are hallmarks of the island’s interior, especially outside summer - while the cuisine, influenced by so many cultures, is a real highlight. Sicilian dishes make lavish use of colourful local produce, with almonds a particular inspiration for creative desserts. You will find the food inviting and the people very warm - just like the sunny island itself.
There is plenty to intrigue and captivate - Greek monuments, rugged inland hills, medieval towns, Saracen watchtowers and a surprisingly diverse flora and fauna.

Your trip begins at Marsala - home to Sicily’s famous golden wine - and wends its way across the island’s rugged interior following green trails and country lanes over rolling countryside, often in sight of the coast. You pass through Segesta - famed for it Doric temple - and the spectacular scenery of the Zingaro Natural Park, before arriving on the coast at Nubia.
