Why not take the train?
You can leave London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet in the morning and be at your destination by the evening, making it an excellent (not to mention environmentally friendly) way to reach this holiday. You can relax right from the start of your journey as Eurostar services whisk you through the Channel Tunnel to connect with the world-famous French high-speed TGV trains in either Paris or Lille. We reserve seats for you, there is plenty of luggage space, and refreshments are available on board.
You may even break your journey in Paris if you are travelling via the capital. Sit back and enjoy a truly great rail journey! Look for the ‘by rail’ prices in the Prices & Travel section, where you will also find journey details.

leisurely routes and welcoming hospitality
This holiday explores the very heart of Alsace. Based at just two welcoming hotels - in Kaysersberg and Bergheim - you are ideally located to discover this fascinating and beautiful area, rich in culture, gastronomy and heritage, by bicycle. Our routes are flexible - meander along quiet country backroads through pretty villages or opt for a more challenging day by cycling up to visit one of the many hill-top châteaux that boast magnificent views across the valley.
The route des vins takes you through lush countryside and Alsacien villages of incredible beauty, famous the world over for their exceptional wines.
The valleys are dotted with picturesque villages and crisscrossed with country lanes, which, when combined with comfortable accommodation and fine traditions of gastronomy and hospitality, provide all the ingredients for a wonderful discovery on two wheels.
