self-guided hotel-to-hotel cycling, luggage transported
easy cycling through rolling green countryside
visit pretty medieval towns and villages along the way
charming hotels offering excellent Norman cuisine
Apple orchards, dovecotes, half-timbered farms, and famous cheeses…it has to be Normandy, one of France’s most evocative regions. Timeless landscapes and a rich history that has often become entwined with that of Britain, from William the Conqueror through to the D-Day landings, make this perfect short-break country.
We were bowled over by the tiny, sleepy little village of Le Bec-Hellouin… but even better was the timbered auberge itself – full of nooks and crannies and offering superb food and wine – plus delicious Norman cider!
Steve Jack, Marketing Team
Featuring two days of gentle cycling and two charming hotels of character which receive consistently high praise for their hospitality, this break offers just the right balance between activity and relaxation. The routes across Normandy’s picturesque countryside are all the more enjoyable for the intriguing medieval towns and villages through which they pass, but the real highlight is the famously delicious cuisine which awaits you each evening, flavoured with cream and calvados.
