In the heart of highland Norway, amid the mountains described so lyrically by Henrik Ibsen in his epic poem about the adventures of his legendary hero, Peer Gynt, is this deeply traditional upland valley and the small settlement of Fefor. It is an area of outstanding beauty between the awesome Jotunheimen Mountains and the Rondane National Park.
The Fefor Hotel has a long tradition of organising special programmes during the school holidays. Christmas and New Year are particularly special times here, with lots of traditional festive pursuits.

Just being in such a place fills you with an undeniable sense of adventure, a feeling which is enhanced by the convivial Fefor Hotel’s extensive programmes of events during the school holidays which enable you to enjoy the snow in a wide variety of ways. You can experience the thrill of dog-sledding; look for animal tracks in the snow as you explore on snowshoes; and even try your hand at ice-fishing. Over Christmas and New Year you can also compete as a family in various races and tournaments, as well as participating in traditional festive activities. As if this weren’t enough, there are miles of cross-country ski trails to explore, as well as wide-ranging leisure facilities at the hotel, including an ice-skating rink, a large games room, saunas and a squash court.
