All four simply furnished, air-conditioned apartments have a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a living room with one or two extra beds and a kitchenette equipped with a hob and fridge, plus a terrace (or, in the case of the first-floor apartment, a large, panoramic balcony). There are also four open-plan studios with simpler cooking facilities that would suit couples.
If you walk towards the coast from the apartments, you come to the ancient site of Assine, or Kastraki, beyond which you will find the nearest taverna - a great favourite - specialising in fish. Keep going and you will reach the harbour where boat trips leave, where pedalos can be hired, and where other excursions can also be booked. In fact, for all forms of watersports, this is the place to be. You could also hire bikes if you’d like to explore the area on two wheels - ask at the Hotel Minoa.

The location (and excellent value) of this villa is hard to beat - the rural setting ensures a peaceful atmosphere yet you are just a five-minute walk from the beach, tavernas and ancient Assine, and 20 minutes from the outskirts of Tolo. The ground-floor apartments have the advantage of opening directly onto the shared pool and its surrounding terrace, but otherwise choose the first-floor apartment to enjoy wonderful views over woodland and orange groves towards the sea. 
Despite your quiet location, you are only 5 minutes’ walk from the nearest beach, and 20 minutes from the bustling resort of Tolo where you can find several supermarkets and bakeries. There is also a campsite mini-market only 5 minutes’ walk away and you will find a welcome hamper of basic supplies waiting for you in your apartment. 
A worthwhile drive through this inviting landscape brings you to Epidaurus, the site of the Sanctuary of Asklepios, an ancient healing centre. Here you will find a semi-circular theatre with the most amazing acoustics - it is possible to speak in a normal voice from the stage and be heard at almost the same volume on the topmost tier!
