Our near neighbours down the road have just been listed in a Top Ten of the "world's greatest mansions". I'm talking about Castle Howard, of course, who were named ahead of Chatsworth and the increasingly popular Downton Abbey - I mean, Highclere House. Castle Howard is a wonderful house, so, next time you're in Yorkshire, why not call in and see us after your tour there? We'd be delighted to see you...

Ross Castle, KillarneyFrom the charismatic city of Dublin, south through the Wicklow Mountains and on to Cork and Kerry, Sir Terry Wogan began a two-part exploration of the Ireland of his youth on the BBC last night. He met up with old friends in the city, discussed the importance of the pub, drink, the Gaelic language and religion to Irish culture and reminisced about his homeland.
