Winter snow breaks in AustriaThinking about a holiday in the mountains this winter - but unsure what the snow conditions are going to be like? Pretty good, if the live webcam from Pertisau is anything to go by. Forecasts are very promising, according to the BBC: "Snow fell across most Austrian resorts on Thursday 29th November, which was perfect timing, as many resorts prepare to open ... the recent snowfall seen across the Alps creating excellent piste conditions..."

Winter snow breaks in EuropeI came across the first snows of winter last weekend while walking over the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire. Looking towards the Yorkshire Dales, I noticed that there was even more snow on the Whernside and Ingleborough. It was little more than a dusting where I was, but it did make me start to wonder what it’s going to be like in the mountains of the Alps or Scandinavia this winter? Need some inspiration?
