You can choose from the beautiful Cotswolds, where thatched cottages of mellow golden stone nestle amid green rolling hills; Shropshire, where Saxon hill forts and Norman castles remind you that you are in the borderlands between England and Wales; the North York Moors and its romantic heather-clad moorland; the Yorkshire Dales with its characteristic dry-stone walls snaking across green slopes; the splendid coastline of Northumberland; and the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of the Peak District. All of them are proof of what great walking the UK has to offer, with the added advantage of it being ‘on our own doorstep’.

Our walking holidays in Britain are meticulously researched, and you walk at your own pace guided by our detailed route notes. We also transport your luggage between accommodations, so all you need to carry in your daypack are the bare essentials.

In Yorkshire, Northumberland, Shropshire and the Peak District we use small, welcoming guesthouses, cosy pubs and friendly B&Bs with just a few rooms each, and so we are unable to accommodate large groups. In the Cotswolds, we use two high-quality country hotels that are somewhat larger, with more facilities and a higher standard of comfort, though the welcome and sense of intimacy is in no way diminished.
