Named after the country’s highest mountain, the Triglav National Park in north-west Slovenia is characterised by deep ravines, green valleys, fast-flowing rivers and lush meadows, all framed by majestic peaks which soar to heights of over 2,000 metres.
For me, the biggest attraction is, without a doubt, the location. Lake Bohinj is lesser-known than nearby Lake Bled, and the scenery is inspirational. All in all, a fantastic area in which to enjoy the great outdoors.

One of the jewels of the Park is the glacial lake of Bohinj, an idyllic spot which deservedly attracts walkers, mountain bikers, fishing enthusiasts and canoeists. This is a place where you can escape the everyday world and, in the middle of this glorious countryside, you will find Milena’s traditional rural village house, a comfortable base from which to enjoy the great outdoors and appreciate the region’s numerous natural wonders.
