Why not take the train?
You can leave London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet in the morning and be at your destination by the evening, making it an excellent (not to mention environmentally friendly) way to reach this holiday. You can relax right from the start of your journey as Eurostar services whisk you through the Channel Tunnel to connect with the world-famous French high-speed TGV trains in either Paris or Lille. We reserve seats for you, there is plenty of luggage space, and refreshments are available on board.
You may even break your journey in Paris if you are travelling via the capital. Sit back and enjoy a truly great rail journey! Look for the ‘by rail’ prices in the Prices & Travel section, where you will also find journey details.

North of Mont Ventoux in southern France lies the little-known region of Drôme Provençale, an area rich in tradition and history. This varied land of vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields and oak forests is still very much off the tourist trail, making it the perfect place to get away from it all.
I have fond memories of admiring the view from the terrace at dusk. On the plain, the lights of all the tiny villages twinkled, and beyond them rose the impressive form of Mont Ventoux, its haunting beauty emphasised by the fast-disappearing light.

Our two apartments here,
La Basse Cour
and
Le Pigeonnier
, are fittingly secluded – perfect rural retreats for couples. Spend your days strolling through the beautiful hill-top villages, exploring the wealth of waymarked paths, enjoying leisurely picnics or sampling the Côtes du Rhône reds at some of the area’s vineyards.
