More than just a glimmer of hope...

Trine Møller, manager of the Sollia Gjestegård on Norway's North Cape got in touch the other day to tell us that in northern Norway they've just had the best summer in ages:

v"It was strange to have 20 degrees in September," she remarked, adding "don't get me wrong – we really liked it, but finally the snows came a couple of weeks ago, and we have now taken out the dog-sleds and are ready and eager to start the season..."

"More importantly – for us and our guests – the Northern Lights have already been showing on a few nights, which is much earlier than usual. It's getting darker every day now, so by the middle of November we should have excellent conditions to see the Lights from our forest camp!"
