Apples and pears, guv?

Plenty to see and taste at London's fabulous Borough MarketI visited London’s Borough Market for the first time last week - what a great place to while away a few hours, slowly ‘grazing’ your way from one colourful stall to the next, sampling dry-cured Spanish hams, mature Italian cheeses and refreshing Devon ciders. It equals anything you’ll find overseas - but do you have a favourite market? Let us know...

For me, it's the Sunday market at Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in Provence. Everything from antiques to fresh local produce - and the real bonus is the regular attendance of the fabulous Gig Street Band (check them out on You Tube).

It's got to be La Boqueria, just off the left-hand side of La Rambla as you walk towards Placa de Catalunya in Barcelona. I love Borough Market, but the Catalans just do it on a whole different scale (a bit like their footie! :)
